This is for the parents / the carers-of-others. The superhumans that are doing it all. All. The. Time.

This is your reminder that you deserve to take a break.

And your break doesn’t need to hinge on condition: “I can only rest after XX is done.”

And your break doesn’t have to be ridden with guilt: “How can I justify doing something good for myself when: I didn’t complete my list today / so many people have it way harder than I do / I could be doing something productive.”

And your break doesn’t need to be justified: “It looks like a mess around here. No one will understand what I’ve been doing all day.”

You are worthy of rest and relaxation because YOU ARE WORTHY of loving yourself enough to give yourself what you need. And only YOU know what you need.

Just because you have the ability to be superhuman doesn’t mean you should be. Just because you can accomplish checking things off your list, doesn’t mean it’s the most meaningful thing for you to be doing.

So today, for all the superhumans out there, I encourage you to really ask yourself what you NEED, and give it to yourself without any shame. You deserve it ❤️

I love hole punching the corner of my cards and using these little metal rings (I think I got them from @staplescanada ) to keep the cards together!
